MIT Physics Demo - The Wimshurst Machine

MIT Physics Demo - The Wimshurst Machine Video Clips.

A Wimshurst electrostatic generator - en.wikipedia.org - works on the principle of induction produces high-voltage sparks and differences between two mobile electrodes. Increasing the distance between the electrodes, one of the highest potential differences are established. Electrostatic induction - en.wikipedia.org - refers to the principle that charges in an object (especially lead) are distributed in the presence of nearby charges. Opposite charges are attracted to each other, and similar charges are repelled. Large loads can connect the controller to the glass, the pieces of the machine are required Leyden.
